| Paul Vander Loos is a journalist by profession and also the author of his own fantasy novel The Wizard's Sword. He has lived and worked in Mackay, North Queensland since 1985 when he also founded the now named Mackay-Pioneer Valley Arts Council Writers Group. He has been a journalist for more than 18 years and through his own creative writing endeavours and association with other writers, knows and understands the agony and ecstacy of creating your own stories for print and fame.
